Luxor Temple

Luxor Temple, 250 x 200mm, oil on canvas, 2007. Egypt.

Driving from the airport to the Nile Corniche - there was Luxor Temple; an amazing symphony of stone and belief. I drew and drew and became exhausted - a lifetime would not be enough to appreciate Egypt.

Sometimes I believe travel art is the only inspiration left to us - keep up the work and tell us some more about it as well as yourself. - North

well- I think I agree with you- travelling with a sketchbook- being 'in the zone' for weeks on end is just such a good place to be. More on travelling to follow. Love your work- and your movement. What is sumi ink? Not something we have in S Africa- regards- Jill

I like your paintings. While painting or drawing the scenery, one get to feel the spirit of the surroundings a lot better than when you take a photo.
